The Short Version
You can: Make music (commercial or personal), use in film/TV/games/streams/live shows, install on up to 3 of your own computers, and process and transform sounds in your compositions.
You can't: Share, resell, or redistribute the product files, use samples to build competing sound libraries, let others use your copy, or use the content to train AI or machine learning models.
Please read the full agreement below.
This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Osterhouse Sounds. It covers all products sold through the Osterhouse Sounds store, including audio samples, software, and associated materials (collectively, "Products"). By downloading, installing, or using any Product, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, please don't install or use the Product.
1. License, Not Ownership
All Products are licensed, not sold. Osterhouse Sounds retains full ownership and copyright of all audio samples, software, graphics, scripts, documentation, and other media included with the Products. This license is personal to you and non-transferable.
2. What You Can Do
Osterhouse Sounds grants you a non-exclusive license to:
- Create music. Use the Products to make original musical works and performances for commercial or personal use with no additional fees or royalties owed to Osterhouse Sounds.
- Process and transform. Edit, layer, and manipulate sounds from the Products within the context of your finished musical works.
- Use across media. Your finished works can be used in albums, film, television, video games, podcasts, advertisements, live performances, streams, and any other media.
- Install on your own computers. You may install and use the Products on up to three computers that you own and operate, such as a studio desktop and a laptop for live performance, provided both are used only by you.
3. What You Cannot Do
- No redistribution. You may not share, copy, duplicate, upload, download, transfer, resell, loan, or otherwise make any part of a Product available to others by any means.
- No competing products. You may not use content from the Products to create sample libraries, virtual instruments, sample packs, loop libraries, or any similar product, whether free or commercial. This includes re-sampling, extracting, isolating, or re-packaging any content.
- No sharing altered samples. You may transform sounds freely within a finished musical work, but you may not distribute those altered samples outside of that musical context.
- No AI training. You may not use the Products, their content, or works created from them as training data for artificial intelligence, machine learning models, neural networks, or similar automated systems without express written permission from Osterhouse Sounds.
4. Intellectual Property
Osterhouse Sounds retains all intellectual property rights to the Products and their contents. You retain full rights to the original musical works you create using the Products.
Osterhouse Sounds warrants that all content included with the Products is the property of Osterhouse Sounds and that it has the authority to grant the rights described in this EULA.
5. Refunds
Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final. Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Osterhouse Sounds.
6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The product is licensed “as is”. Osterhouse Sounds will not be responsible for any
loss incurred by the licensee from the indirect use of the product.
It is your responsibility to ensure that a Product is compatible with your system before purchasing.
7. Termination
This license is effective from the moment you install or use a Product and remains in effect unless terminated. If you violate any term of this EULA, the license terminates automatically. Upon termination, you must delete all copies of the Product from your systems.
8. Changes to This EULA
Osterhouse Sounds may update this EULA from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Products after changes constitutes acceptance. Licenses granted before any changes remain governed by the EULA in effect at the time of purchase.
